Kitchener, Ontario, CTV's television reporter Leslie Gordon has begun a business to help people regain the slim body they had years ago. She combines her college training in fitness and as a personal trainer with her passion for helping people in The Buff Mom. She has also had personal experience with losing weight after two pregnancies.
Fitness
Leslie was born in Providence, Rhode Island, on December 13,1975, and received her degree in
communications at Carleton University in Ottawa. She paid her way through university by studying and practising fitness and personal training in her last year of high school in Thunder Bay, Ontario, and continued to do so while at Carleton. At Humber College in Toronto she studied broadcast journalism and magazine writing while continuing to hone her fitness skills.
Oxygen Magazine
After her education was completed she became an assistant editor at Oxygen Magazine, a health and fitness publication.. She stayed there for two years while doing a part-time stint with a cable station in Toronto.As she had always wanted to do television, she then took a position as anchor and reporter at the Thunder Bay station TBT.
CKCO-TV Kitchener
Gordon's next career move was to Kitchener, Ontario, to the local TV station as a part-time reporter and anchor, all the while teaching fitness. She ultimately became the weekend anchor and then was given the Health and Lifestyle post on the 6 PM news.
Leslie Gordon's Marriages
In 2001 Leslie married and had a son, Carter; however the marriage did not last and she found herself being a single mother trying to keep things together. Of those days Leslie says that such difficult times tend to build one as a person and in her case it did. She went on with her career and one day after being at CKCO for quite a while she was paired with regular anchor Kyle Christie for the noon news. They found themselves laughing and enjoying being together so much that in May of 2009 they slipped away to Italy for a romantic wedding. They welcomed a son, Allister (named after Kyle's mother's maiden name), in February of 2010.
The Buff Mom
Leslie is very excited about her business because her true goal in life is to be helpful to others. Her Boot Camp for women includes a meal plan, exercise and other resources such as speakers, classes and conference calls on certain subjects as needed. She answers all the questions participants might ask, and believes that one's mind set is very important. "What you focus on happens, I believe", she says. The boot camp can be one, two or three nights a week and is held at Conestoga College in Kitchener. Corporate Motivational Speaking
Gordon is also available for corporate motivational speaking and her presentations are the peak of perfection... the complete message presented with professional ease and charm. She has done her homework., and the results show it. She will do life coaching on the telephone and the price depends entirely on what it needed for each person.
TV Apperarances
Leslie Gordon has not finished with TV. She appears on various programs extolling the virtues of a healthy lifestyle. She is co-writing, with a naturopathic doctor, a book on getting into shape, especially after pregnancy. So look for more news of public appearances by Leslie in the future.
Leslie Gordon's Personal Life
She is very busy but manages to spend quality time with her husband Kyle and their two sons. Weekends, especially, are for family, and they love to stay in and play with the children. They make a very handsome couple with Leslie's blonde beauty as a perfect contrast to Kyle's dark good looks. Look for more from this talented couple
